Hi there, and welcome to the very first episode of Health Law with Tara Ravi. I’m Tara Ravi, and I am so excited, thrilled, better word for excited and thrilled I wish I had, to finally launch this podcast and platform with you. There are a lot of podcasts out there, healthcare podcasts, life podcasts, health podcasts, law podcasts, and sometimes I feel like I need a life raft just to navigate the sea of them, to catch up on listening to them. But hopefully this one is different. This is a space where we make healthcare law, human, approachable and practical, which it should be, because we interact with the health care system all the time. 

We’re going to explore the real world impact of policy help, law, regulations and operational decisions on the care people actually receive. And I have to say, putting this together has been an incredible amount of work, but it’s also been very introspective. It’s helped me figure out what aspects of health law I find important. How does it affect healthcare delivery? How does it affect me personally? And it’s helped me find precisely the passion that I needed to back this project up. It’s also been incredibly fun, from planning content to building the platform. I’ve loved every step of it, and I’m thrilled to have had the support of an amazing team that helped me in this launch on this platform.
